How It Works

Become a Preceptor in Just a Few Steps

Rotation Request

Review the student's rotation details — hours needed, paperwork deadlines, and start & end dates. Accept the request, or message us if you have questions.

Complete Preceptor Paperwork

Two forms will open in new tabs for you to complete and e-sign for the university. (Note: some universities may request additional paperwork later.)

Paperwork Submitted

Your paperwork is complete and submitted to the university within 14 days. We’ll email you with updates, or check your NP Rotation dashboard anytime.

Awaiting University Approval

Approval times vary by school. We’ll reach out if extra forms are needed and notify you the moment the rotation is approved.

Rotation Scheduling

Congrats, the rotation is approved! Coordinate an official start date with your student and let us know if it differs from your dashboard.

Precept & Get Paid

Enjoy precepting! Once the rotation is complete, log into your dashboard, leave a review for the student, and get paid for your time.
